Information we collect

• Profile and contact information: name, phone number, service branch, home base, and account identifier. Phone verification uses one-time SMS codes.
• Ride information: pickup and destination coordinates and labels, passenger count, assigned driver, ride status, timestamps, and cancellation details.
• Driver information: vehicle make, model, color and plate; optional driver photo; volunteer approval and recognition records; shift times and location. Driver location is shared while on shift, including in the background when permission allows it. Going off shift stops location reporting.
• Notification tokens, used to deliver ride and service notifications if you grant permission.
• Reports and requests you submit, including their text and information needed by program coordinators to respond.
• Diagnostics: error messages, stack traces, operating system, app version, and technical details needed to investigate problems. During operator-arranged test rides, diagnostics may include a test ride identifier and route-following measurements.

How information is used and shared

Information supports sign-in, matching, pickup coordination, navigation, program administration, support, and reliability.

Matched riders and drivers can access contact and trip information needed for their ride. Eligible on-shift volunteers can see available requests in their dispatch region, including pickup and destination information. Authorized base coordinators and program administrators can access information needed to manage volunteers, rides, reports, and recognition. Coordinators see the live location of on-shift drivers in their dispatch area so they can dispatch rides. They see open ride requests only as an approximate area, without the rider's name, phone number, or exact pickup point. Public program statistics are aggregated.

Driver photos are stored at public image URLs so the app can display them. Someone with that URL can view the photo; it is not restricted to a matched rider. Do not upload a photo you do not want used for driver identification.

Service providers include Supabase for authentication, database and file storage; Twilio for SMS verification; Google Maps Platform for places, maps, routing and navigation; Expo and Apple or Google for app delivery and notifications; and the website hosting provider for web requests. These services process information needed to provide their functions and may maintain their own operational logs.

We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps and websites. AGADD is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of War. Authorized program access described above still applies; this policy does not promise that information submitted to a coordinator is inaccessible to every person in your organization.

Permissions and choices

Riders use location to choose a pickup point. Drivers use location while on shift so riders can follow their approach and their area coordinator can dispatch rides. You can change location and notification permissions in your device settings; denying them can limit live tracking or alerts. Drivers can stop sharing location by going off shift. Driver photos are optional. We do not request your contacts or collect payment-card information in the app.

Retention and account deletion

Account and operational information is retained to provide the service and administer the program. You can request account deletion in Settings → Delete account. Finish or cancel an active ride and go off shift first, so another rider or driver is not stranded.

Deletion removes the account, profile, vehicle, notification token, uploaded driver photo, shifts, and rides requested by that account. Rides driven for other riders remain as program records with the deleted driver's account reference removed. Reports may remain for follow-up with the reporter's account reference removed; information typed into a report may still identify a person. Test-session records retain the test marker but lose references to deleted accounts. Operational logs, backups, and cached copies may persist under the relevant service provider's retention process; deletion does not promise immediate removal from every backup or cache.
