AGADD Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
AGADD ("Airmen & Guardians Against Drunk Driving") is a volunteer rideshare app that gets service members home safely. This policy describes what the app collects, why, and who can see it.
What we collect
- Name, service branch, and home base: entered when you create a profile, so your driver knows who they're picking up.
- Phone number: used to sign in (one-time verification codes) and so your matched driver or rider can call you about a pickup.
- Precise location: from riders while setting a pickup point; from volunteer drivers continuously while they are on shift (including in the background), so riders can see their driver coming. Location reporting stops when a driver goes off shift.
- Vehicle details (volunteer drivers only): make, model, color, and plate, shown to riders so they can identify the right car at the curb.
- Ride history: pickups, drop-offs, and status changes, kept as an operational record of the volunteer program.
- Push notification token: if you allow notifications, so the app can tell you a driver accepted, is close, or has arrived.
What we share, and with whom
- Between matched rider and driver only: while a ride is active, your driver sees your name and phone number; your rider sees your name, phone number, vehicle, and live location. This access ends when the ride ends.
- Service providers: data is stored with Supabase (database and authentication), phone verification is delivered via Twilio, place search and routing use the Google Maps Platform, and push notifications are delivered via Expo. Each receives only what its function requires.
- Nobody else. We do not sell data, run ads, or share data with any third party for marketing. AGADD is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of War; no data is shared with your chain of command.
What we don't collect
No payment information, no contacts, no photos, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, profile, vehicle, push token, and your ride history as a rider. Rides you drove as a volunteer are retained as program records with your identity removed.
